Item #2: Oracle EBS - Fusion Cloud coexisting Integration: Fusion Cloud Sub-ledger entries(Cost Accounting) -> Oracle EBS GL
At the very end of last year i had a chance to help with another pending integration - real challenge for my returning customer.
It`s again in scope of Fusion Cloud/EBS R12 coexistence model.
So i am talking about Fusion Cloud Subledger entries(Cost Accounting) -> Oracle EBS GL.
What was the situation?
My customer needs to receive GL entries data to Oracle E-Business Suite(12.2.12) from Fusion Cloud(23D) to form so called coexisting model.
The ultimate system of records is the Oracle E-Business Suite(12.2.12).
The role of Fusion Cloud is just to handle everything from supply chain stand point - Procure to Receive flow as well as Manufacturing to Ship. All sub ledger entries accumulated from Cost Accounting module(Fusion one) must be transferred to Oracle E-Business Suite GL.
What was the challenge?
Oracle sales thoughts - "...yes, you can do this but you need to buy additional license for Fusion GL functionality(B91079).
Also, Oracle suggests integrating from EBS and Fusion GL and has a SKU Oracle Fusion Accounting Hub to assist. B91110 is the correct sku to help with integration process as well."
Yes, i know that i said. Thanks a lot!
Then i turned to old good notes and excellent Oracle support documentation. I start recalling - but we did that…in Sensata INSIGHTS.
We found out one very good note - Revenue Management Cloud Service (RMCS) solution for Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) (Doc ID 2244173.1). Especially bullets 2.3, 4.1, 4.2, 4.3, 4.4 and 4.5
It basically helps you when you need to handle Oracle EBS - RMCS integration but can give you a good grasp of knowledge how to handle Fusion Cloud Sub-ledger entries(Cost Accounting) -> Oracle EBS GL integration.
Of course you need to tweak few setups in Oracle EBS like source, etc.
The result - see below.
